One of the activities of the Association of Lawyers of Russia is improvement of quality of legal education, including by public accreditation of higher educational institutions of the legal structure. To support the initiative of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on quality improvement of legal education, the President of the Russian Federation issued a decree “On measures on Improvement of Higher Legal Education in Russia” dated May 26, 2009. The decree provides for improvement of quality of programs of higher vocational education, increase in control over activity of higher educational institutions that train legal personnel. Active measures are currently taken for implementation of this Decree, which involve the Commission of the Association of Lawyers of Russia for public assessment of quality of legal education and the commission for legal science. Government of the Russian Federation was requested to assist the Association of Lawyers of Russia in development and introduction of public accreditation of federal government and private educational institutions of higher vocational education, which provide training of legal personnel. | Chairman of ALR Board Igor Manylov discussed ALR collaboration plans with South Korean lawyers27.09.11 On September 26, 2011 as part of Chairman of the Board of Association of Lawyers of Russia Igor Manylov's first official visit to the Republic of Korea was held a work meeting with Board of leading South Korean Law Firm “YULCHON” Sai Ree Yun and Bong Hee Han. During the meeting, sides discussed matters of developing partnership between legal organizations, possibility of signing Cooperation Agreement between All-Russian Non-commercial Organization “Association of Lawyers of Russia” and South Korean Law Firm “YULCHON”, as well as existing practice of evaluation and certification of lawyers in both countries. |
